Finished Frankfort backyard from a back deck vantage, blue-gray paver patio with gas fire feature, four outdoor chairs, layered perennial plantings along a wood privacy fence, mature maple tree, cream two-story home beyond.

Landscape design for the south suburbs. Since 2008.

Frankfort, Mokena, Orland Park, Homer Glen, and everywhere in between.

What We Do

Six ways we work on your property.

Landscape Design

We draft a full plan for your property, not a template. Zones, plant palette, hardscape, drainage, and how it all ages across a decade.

Planting and Installation

From a single bed refresh to a full yard rebuild. Trees, shrubs, perennials, and the soil work that makes them actually take.

Finished blue-gray paver patio with low natural-stone wall and a gas fire feature surrounded by perennials

Hardscape

Patios, retaining walls, fire features, walkways, outdoor kitchens. ICPI-certified paver work we stand behind for the life of the install.

Freshly cut green lawn meeting a sharp dark-mulch bed edge along a residential foundation

Lawn and Bed Maintenance

Weekly mowing, bed weeding, mulch, and fertilization programs tuned to Will and Cook County soil.

Single-head rotor sprinkler spraying a fine mist over a manicured residential lawn at golden hour

Irrigation

Design, install, and seasonal service on zoned drip and rotor systems. Water where the plants need it, not the sidewalk.

Seasonal Clean-Up

Spring and fall packages. Debris, dethatching, bed edging, mulch, fertilization, and a full property walk with notes.

What Neighbors Say

People on your street, talking about their yards.

"We had a steep slope in our Homer Glen backyard that was eroding every spring. Ryan designed terraced plantings that held the soil and looked better than anything we'd seen. It's been two years and the terraces still look like the day they went in."
Mike V., Homer Glen, 12 days ago
"Hickory Creek Landscape redid our front yard last fall. The team worked around my crazy schedule, cleaned up every day before they left, and the beds look incredible now that spring is here. Worth every dollar."

About

Ryan Meyer, and the creek we're named after.

Ryan Meyer started Hickory Creek Landscape in 2008 after eight years as a foreman at a larger contractor. The brand is named after the creek itself, which runs through Frankfort, Mokena, and most of our service area. Six of our clients have yards that back up to Hickory Creek, and we've designed riparian buffer plantings for all of them. We know this watershed's drainage patterns because we live in it.
